Who is the VRC Homeowner's Association? We are the group of homeowners within a planned unit development called the Valencia Racquet Club Homeowner's Association. Our purpose is to maintain and plan improvements for the common areas shared by all VRC homeowners. Our Association Board consists of five elected members. Administrative functions are handled by our appointed Manager.

What are the common areas? Our main park on Rio Prado Drive contains the pool, clubhouse, playground, basketball and tennis courts in a landscaped environment. This park is gated and requires a keycard for entry. Only homeowners and their guests are allowed to use these facilities. The Association maintains four additional landscaped areas that provide sitting benches, but no recreational facilites.

What are the pool rules? You may view them  here and print them out if you wish.

How can I reserve the Clubhouse? Each  homeowner in the Racquet Club is entitled to the use  of the clubhouse once a year, free of charge. Please  refer to this Reservation Form for more details.

Does the VRC use a security service? Yes.  Copper Eagle patrols the Racquet Club several times  per day. However, our contractural agreement is  limited to the common areas, and not individual  homes.

What is Architectural Control? The Architectural  Committee exists to ensure the  integrity and  continuity of our community design. Elements like  roofing materials and exterior paint colors are  determined by the committee. For a more detailed explanation, please refer to Article VI of the CC&R's.

What is the exterior re-painting policy? Both  units must agree to an approved color combination.  (see Color Chart). Painting of each home need not  take place at the same time. However this
Re-Painting Agreement will need to be completed by both homeowners and submitted before painting begins. The homeowner painting first must do so within 60 days. The non-painting homeowner must paint within 12 months.

Who Provides landscaping? The Association  coordinates landscape services for the common  areas. Homeowners are responsible for landscape  maintenance on their respective properties.

What about pets? The County Leash Law applies  and each homeowner is  responsible for their pets,  and what they may leave behind on lawns. Please  remember to clean up after your furry family  members! Santa Clarita Municipal Code Ordinance 8.32.010 requires all dogs be kept on a leash.
Santa Clarita Municipal Code: 8.32.010 – Dogs – Running at Large Prohibited
No person owning or having charge, care, custody or control of any dog shall cause, permit or allow the same to be or to run at large upon any highway, street, lane, alley, court, or other public place, or upon any private or premises other than those of the person owning or having charge, care, custody or control of such dog in the City, unless such dog be restrained by a substantial chain or leash not exceeding six feet in length and is in the charge, care, custody, or control of a competent person. (Ord. 91-29, 3/13/91)

For more information about responsible pet ownership, please visit the City of Santa Clarita's website.

Can I install a satellite dish? Yes, but you must  submit Form #101 before installation. The  issue is  not the dish, but its placement on your property. It  must not be visible from the street, nor can it be  place on top of your chimney.

When is trash day? Blue Barrel Disposal picks up our trash on Mondays. Please place your trash bins on the middle strip between your property and your  neighbor's. Remove your bins from the curb and  return them to their usual out-of-sight location by 10pm the same day. The street sweeper will come through our neighborhood the following day, so please try to keep your vehicles off the street during this time.  For more information about Blue Barrel, please visit their website.

Is RV parking allowed? You may not store your RV  on the street or in your driveway. However, you may  bring your RV home one day before your trip. When  you return from your trip, you must return your RV to  storage by 7pm the following day.
